City government
The Daily Times has been reporting that the city council is considering spending $7,000,000 on an animal shelter. This seems excessive in light of community needs for police and fire and streets. In the impending financial crisis this planned expenditure should be placed on hold until we see the impact of our tax revenue declines. I am sure the existing facility can be made to work for 2-3 more years.
